On the menu of massage services offered at many first-rate Hawaiian resort spas, one is likely to discover Thai massage as a choice. The promise of an overall body manipulation with a therapeutic effect seems like just the thing to experience after a long trip from the mainland, so I received one on the Big Island of Hawaii several years ago. I was intrigued by several things. The treatment was indeed whole body. It was multimodal involving massage, stretching, yoga positions and acupressure.
