An end to another wonderful sports massage season has come.

Thanks to you we have had our best season ever! We brought in $3,295.00 at our events, returning $329.50 to the hosting organizations and for the first time, the AMTA Sports Massage Team has made a gift of $300.00 to a team chosen charity – Second Harvest Heartland.
Second Harvest Heartland is the largest hunger relief organization in the Upper Midwest. It covers a 59 county region in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. 96% of all revenue is applied to program expenses with only 4% spent on administration and fundraising, enabling them to turn every $1 donated into $9 of food for nonprofit agencies. Every year two awards are offered to outstanding therapists, this year the winners are:
THERAPIST OF THE YEAR - Lisa Engelstad. Lisa joined the team this year and came out to work 5 of our 9 events. Lisa has been an invaluable asset to the team and I’m happy to report that she will be joining me next year as co-chair! Erin will continue to be our liaison with the board as she is also the 1st Vice President, and has promised to remain an active team member. I will miss Erin as co-chair!
IRON HANDS - Steve Walker. Steve is also a new member to the team! Steve worked 4 of our events and stepped in at a pinch to help out when only one other person signed up for an event!
Keep a look out for e-mail blasts. Early next spring we will hold a meeting to discuss the new year, look for coordinators and just hang out and have some fun!!
